Best time to ski in Megeve

While Megève doesn't boast masses of elevation, snow cannons keep the ski slopes blanketed in pearly white stuff from mid-December to mid-April.

Popular with the locals at the weekends, make the most of the weekdays for quiet, uncrowded pistes with fewer queues. It can also get busy during the school holidays, but you can enjoy peaceful, unhurried cruising outside the peak times. Bliss!

Want to treat the family to a spectacular Christmas? Megève transforms into a magical wonderland in December. A giant tree sparkles with a thousand lights in the square, and the icy air is awash with festive melodies. Joyeux Noel!

Things to do in Megeve
